Students using the Business of Social Good Curriculum are eligible to apply for up to $500 in Student Innovation Funds to make their triple-bottom line inspired business a reality. All applications must include a 1-3 minute video pitch, an itemized budget, supporting documents, and should follow the guidelines below.
Video Guidelines
- Created and led by students, highlighting key ideas from the Executive Summary and Elevator Pitch Worksheets.
- Video is between 1 and 3 minutes in length, and is thoughtful and creative.
- Language is used and spelled correctly.
- Images support the words and general message.
- Camera is stable with smooth movements. Use a tripod for best results.
- Sound is clear and understandable. Use a microphone for best results.
- Video is well edited with smooth transitions.
Supporting Documents

- Executive Summary worksheet
- Elevator Pitch worksheet
- Learn Startup Evaluation worksheet
- Estimated environmental impact (e.g. tons of carbon sequestered, pounds of waste diverted from landfill)
- An itemized budget that accurately reflects the amount requested.
- Signed Media Release Forms for all students whose faces appear in the video.
