Navigating the Curriculum
Sustainable Intelligence lessons are organized into seven eco-themes: water, waste, energy, food, public spaces, air, and transportation. Within each theme there are lessons and activities for every grade level.
With the exception of the Eco-Audit lessons, all activities can stand alone and do not need to be taught in a specific order. Feel free to pick and choose (and modify) activities as they fit best within your own scope and sequence.
Be sure to use the downward-facing carrot next to each eco- theme to collapse or expand the modules and lessons. This will make navigation much easier!
. . .
Each eco-theme is organized into modules which represent grade level bands. We strongly encourage you to explore lessons and activities above and below the grade level that you are currently teaching. For example, AP Environmental Science teachers enjoy using the lesson Clean Water, Happy People to introduce a unit on water quality, even though it’s housed under Grades 1-2.
